Glendale, California Architect: Shimoda Design Group Structures: 1. Gravity: Wood framing with existing sawn lumber joists/beams & new I-joists/Paralam beams. Steel beams and columns are also used where needed. 2. Lateral: Wood diaphragms supported by a combination of several code-compliant systems including: special steel moment frames, concrete shear walls, wood-framed shear walls, and existing reinforced masonry shear walls. Status: Building shell was completed in 2014. * Worked as project manager in previous firm. |
